The rubber seals are used to prevent metal-to-metal wear between the gas straps and gas tank due to vibration. The seals go between the steel straps and the gas tank. They also prohibit annoying squeaks usually heard after removing and reinstalling a new tank. This set fits all 55-57 Chevy Car & Wagon Models. Made in the USA.
